Here's our simple everyday go-to cacao recipe that not only tastes delicious but adds a little bit of reiki magic to your day. Show us how you practice your cacao ritual by tagging us @spiritofcacao_ and share your beauty with the community.
Start by cutting and measuring your cacao to whatever dose you are working with right now. Don't have a scale to measure exact grams? Simply grab a measuring tablespoon or soup spoon. 2 heaped tablespoons/soup spoons would get you 20g.
10 - 12g Great starting dose, very gentle daily ritual.
14 - 16g Introductory ceremonial dose / gentle daily ritual.
20 - 25g Meditation/ creativity / gentle daily ritual.
+ 1/2 cup milk of your choice
+ 1/2 cup water [filtered preferably]
+ Sweetener - To your taste: agave, coconut nectar, honey, panela, maple syrup or a natural sweetener
+ 1/4 tsp Cinnamon [or to your taste / or omit if it's not your thing]
+ 1/2 to 1 tbsp Coconut Oil [optional]
Be creative 〰️ add maca, cayenne, medicinal mushrooms + or whatever else tickles your fancy!
In a saucepan add the milk, water, sweetener, cinnamon, coconut oil + spices or tinctures of your choice.
Once your milk + water mixture has been gently heated [do not bring to a simmer/boil], stir in your cacao dose [shaved or very small slithers of cacao is best] and remove from heat. Using a whisk or blender combine the ingredients.
Pour into your favourite cup, sit with reverence and set your intentions with the Spirit Of Cacao in your heart.
